Gravity (Embrace Song)

Gravity (Embrace Song)

"Gravity" is the lead single from Out of Nothing, the fourth album by British band Embrace. Written by Coldplay, the song was first performed live by Coldplay in 2002. Ultimately, Martin gave the song to Embrace. "Gravity" peaked at #7 on the UK Singles Chart. It was released on CD format and red 7" vinyl. It later became the theme song to the TV show Mike Bassett: Manager, starring Ricky Tomlinson.

The B-side, "Wasted", started off as "Logical Love Song" and was originally conceived during the Drawn from Memory sessions.

"Gravity" was re-recorded by Coldplay in late 2005 and is included as a B-side to their single "Talk".

The songs "Too Many Times", "The Shot's Still Ringing", and "Waterfall" are featured on the B-sides compilation Dry Kids: B-Sides 1997-2005.

The song was used in Series 2 Episode 7 of Gavin and Stacey when Nessa was giving birth to "Neil The Baby".

Famous quotes containing the word gravity:

Here I sit down to form characters. One I intend to be all goodness; All goodness he is. Another I intend to be all gravity; All gravity he is. Another Lady Gish; All Lady Gish she is. I am all the while absorbed in the character. It is not fair to say—I, identically I, am anywhere, while I keep within the character.
    Samuel Richardson (1689–1761)
