Grand Junction Regional Airport covers an area of 2,357 acres (954 ha) at an elevation of 4,858 feet (1,481 m) above mean sea level. It has two asphalt paved runways: 11/29 measuring 10,501 by 150 feet (3,201 x 46 m) and 4/22 measuring 5,502 by 75 feet (1,677 x 23 m).

For the 12-month period ending December 31, 2006, the airport had 78,267 aircraft operations, an average of 214 per day: 66% general aviation, 26% air taxi, 6% military and 2% scheduled commercial. At that time there were 204 aircraft based at this airport: 85% single-engine, 12% multi-engine, 1% jet and 1% helicopter.
