In additional to the three air carriers that operate at KGFK, Delta Air Lines, United and Allegiant, the majority of the operations are from the University of North Dakota, FedEx, charter, and general aviation.
On November 9, 2010, KGFK had 100,570 boardings, one more than the record achieved in all 12 months in 1994. The Airport Director, Patrick Dame, confidently predicted that KGFK would reach 117,000 boardings by the end of 2010.
On October 3, 2012, United Airlines commenced service between Denver, CO and Grand Forks, ND.
