Post Lancashire Career
After leaving Lancashire, Fowler played for Durham and coached at their academy, setting up a Cricket School of Excellence in 1996. Among the players he coached was Andrew Strauss. Since 1987, he has been a cricket broadcaster, sometimes with Test Match Special, and also with Test Match Sofa,. He also holds the post of Senior Cricket Coach at Durham University.
