Overview
Gobind Ballabh Pant Engineering College, Pauri Garhwal was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in 1989. It started its first academic session in 1991. The college is affiliated to Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun (Uttarakhand). It is located about 11 km from Pauri, the District headquarters and is about 33 km from Dev Prayag, a historical and pilgrimage place.
The college is financed by the Government of Uttarakhand and managed by the Board of Governors with the Minister of Technical Education, Government of Uttarakhand, as the Chairman. The Chairman is the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, since he holds the Technical Education portfolio.
