Gorham's Disease
Gorham’s disease (pronounced GOR-amz), also known as Gorham vanishing bone disease and phantom bone disease, is a very rare skeletal condition of uncertain etiology, characterized by the uncontrolled proliferation of distended, thin-walled vascular or lymphatic channels within bone, which leads to resorption and replacement of bone with angiomas and/or fibrosis. Current treatments are experimental only.

Famous quotes containing the word disease:
“I prithee, daughter, do not make me mad.
I will not trouble thee, my child; farewell:
Well no more meet, no more see one another.
But yet thou art my flesh, my blood, my daughter
Or rather a disease thats in my flesh,
Which I must needs call mine.”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
