Early Life and Community Involvement
Before entering public service, Gosse was an athlete and an employee of the Sydney Steel Corporation. Gosse is a third generation steel worker who worked in the industry for 18 years. A youth worker, Gosse was the Executive Director of the Whitney Pier Youth Club for ten years. Gosse devoted much of his early live to the betterment of youth in Whitney Pier and was an active member of the Whitney Pier Memorial Junior High School Advisory Council and the Youth Resource Association. He also sat on the Health Studies Working Group (J.A.G.), the Community Health and Safety Advisory Committee, and the Board of Directors of the YMCA.
