Moon View in Google Earth
Google Earth 5 includes a separate globe of the moon, starting on July 20, 2009 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing. The maps are of a much higher resolution than those on the browser version of Google Moon and it also includes 3D renderings of the Moon terrain.

Famous quotes containing the words moon, view and/or earth:
“The moon sees nothing of this. She is bald and wild.”
—Sylvia Plath (19321963)
“Beauty depends on size as well as symmetry. No very small animal can be beautiful, for looking at it takes so small a portion of time that the impression of it will be confused. Nor can any very large one, for a whole view of it cannot be had at once, and so there will be no unity and completeness.”
—Aristotle (384 B.C.322 B.C.)
“If from the earth we came, it was an earth
That bore us as a part of all the things
It breeds and that was lewder than it is.
Our nature is her nature. Hence it comes,
Since by our nature we grow old, earth grows
The same. We parallel the mothers death.”
—Wallace Stevens (18791955)
