GOD TV - Charitable Work

Charitable Work

Through its network of Angel charities, God TV supports humanitarian projects internationally. God TV assists children in South Africa through the Jesus Cares Children's Feeding Scheme, an organisation in Rustenburg led by Cliff & Andre Scott, and cares for HIV/AIDS orphans by supporting Kondanani Children's Village in Malawi, founded by Annie Chikhwaza. It supports an orphanage in Sri Lanka and the International Children's Mission in Kenya.

A major recipient of aid from God TV is the The Foundation for Reconciliation and Relief in the Middle East and St George's Church in Baghdad, led by Andrew White, which was the beneficiary of funds given by God TV following its Middle East Special.

In the UK God TV supports Mercy Ministries, a charity supporting young women suffering from abuse and The Goshen Trust, a charity which assists charities in the UK and abroad.

A target of God TV's humanitarian work is providing clean water in arid regions of Africa (Kenya and Tanzania) where it has drilled water wells. A community 'Life Center' has also been built in Tanzania in conjunction with Pat Boone.

Famous quotes containing the words charitable and/or work:

God protect us from the efficient, go-getter businesswoman whose feminine instincts have been completely sterilized. Wherever women are functioning, whether in the home or in a job, they must remember that their chief function as women is a capacity for warm, understanding and charitable human relationships.
    Agnes E. Meyer (1887–1970)

A work is never completed except by some accident such as weariness, satisfaction, the need to deliver, or death: for, in relation to who or what is making it, it can only be one stage in a series of inner transformations.
    Paul Valéry (1871–1945)
