Famous quotes containing the words general, plant and/or terms:
“There was not a tree as far as we could see, and that was many miles each way, the general level of the upland being about the same everywhere. Even from the Atlantic side we overlooked the Bay, and saw to Manomet Point in Plymouth, and better from that side because it was the highest.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“Here come the line-gang pioneering by.
They throw a forest down less cut than broken.
They plant dead trees for living, and the dead
They string together with a living thread.”
—Robert Frost (18741963)
“Ive never been on good terms with God, but now Im becoming His intimate, for He is truly absolute and extremely legitimate.”
—Franz Grillparzer (17911872)
