Giant Phantom Monster Agon - Synopsis

Synopsis

In 1961, Goro Ryouji, a reporter who wants to cover an unusual sinking case of a vessel called "Karyu-Maru" but he and Detective Makimura sees a dinosaur head surfacing from the depths of the harbor.

They consult to Dr. Ukyo Yamato in the Atomic Energy Center, and Dr. Ukyo presumes that the monster, dubbed "Agon" was awakened and unleashed by atomic H-bomb tests in the South Pacific ocean. Then, Agon surfaces in Asakusa in the night, rampaging.

3000 volt electric fences acting as a barrier has no effect as Agon melts it using his atomic fire breath. The monster is then returning to the sea, hibernating. Then two nights later, Agon resurfaces in Tokyo.

He attacked and rampaged, but Ryouji had a plan. He lured Agon to a land full of cadmium cannons, and they shoot it. Agon roars in pain as the high dose of cadmium takes effect and neutralize his radiation, and kills the monster.

Everyone looks at Agon's dead body, and knows that soon, the Atomic Age would bring a bigger disaster.
