GhostRider (roller Coaster) - Construction, Maintenance and Incidents

Construction, Maintenance and Incidents

Construction on the attraction proceeded so quickly that the coaster was completed and opened nearly six months ahead of schedule. In August 1999, an unsecured piece of wood from the track was lifted by a passing train and thrown into the queue. Five people sustained minor injuries and the attraction was temporarily closed for inspection and retrofitting of the track.

Due to being a wooden coaster, it experiences the most amounts of rehab in the entire park; at least four a year (once a season) and also as needed, causing excessive amounts of downtime

Famous quotes containing the words maintenance and/or incidents:

However patriarchal the world, at home the child knows that his mother is the source of all power. The hand that rocks the cradle rules his world. . . . The son never forgets that he owes his life to his mother, not just the creation of it but the maintenance of it, and that he owes her a debt he cannot conceivably repay, but which she may call in at any time.
    Frank Pittman (20th century)

An element of exaggeration clings to the popular judgment: great vices are made greater, great virtues greater also; interesting incidents are made more interesting, softer legends more soft.
    Walter Bagehot (1826–1877)
