The population of Ghazni District is multi-ethnic, with approximately 50% Tajiks, 25% Pashtuns, 20% Hazaras and 5% Hindus. But in the much larger Ghazni province overall, Pashto speakers make up 51% of the population, and Persian speakers (Hazaras and Tajiks) are 47%.
