Retirement

When he retired from competitive football, James remained active in hockey. In 1963, He coached in Switzerland and managed hockey teams in Yorkton, Estevan, and Moose Jaw of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League in the 1980s. James currently resides in British Columbia.
