German submarine U-262 was a Type VIIC U-boat of the Nazi German Kriegsmarine during World War II.

The submarine was laid down on 29 May 1941 at the Bremer Vulkan yard at Bremen-Vegesack, launched on 10 March 1942, and commissioned on 15 April 1942 under the command of Kapitänleutnant Günther Schiebusch.
