Geraldo José Rodrigues Alckmin Filho (born in Pindamonhangaba, November 7, 1952), known as Geraldo Alckmin is a Brazilian politician, who has been elected as the new governor of São Paulo, doing it for the second time, and former candidate for president of Brazil in the 2006 Elections. He attended the Universidade de Taubaté's medical school, specializing in Anesthesiology, before going on to work in the São Paulo Public Service Hospital. He is governor of São Paulo since 2011.
