She married another man - a soldier. She described him as a "mommy's boy" and grew bored of him, causing them to quickly divorce.

Famous quotes containing the words marriages, suicide and/or attempt:

The happiest two-job marriages I saw during my research were ones in which men and women shared the housework and parenting. What couples called good communication often meant that they were good at saying thanks to one another for small aspects of taking care of the family. Making it to the school play, helping a child read, cooking dinner in good spirit, remembering the grocery list,... these were silver and gold of the marital exchange.
    Arlie Hochschild (20th century)

If you are of the opinion that the contemplation of suicide is sufficient evidence of a poetic nature, do not forget that actions speak louder than words.
    Fran Lebowitz (b. 1951)

The only reason for the existence of a novel is that it does attempt to represent life.
    Henry James (1843–1916)
