On December 15, 2008, as gesture of disdain and disrespect, journalist Muntadar al-Zaidi threw both his shoes at President Bush while giving a press conference in Iraq. President Bush dodged both. Afterwards Mr. Zaidi was wrestled to the ground by security personnel and hauled away.
