George O'Callaghan - Personal Life

Personal Life

O'Callaghan drove through a red light in Cork at 2:40am on 13 October 2004, and upon his arrest admitted that he had "had seven or eight pints, a few shorts and a few cocktails". It took three years before his case went to court, at which point the court handed him a £208 fine and gave him a two-year driving ban; he stated that "I have learned from my mistake". He is the cousin of the internationally capped Irish Rugby union lock Donncha O'Callaghan.

Famous quotes related to personal life:

Wherever the State touches the personal life of the infant, the child, the youth, or the aged, helpless, defective in mind, body or moral nature, there the State enters ‘woman’s peculiar sphere,’ her sphere of motherly succor and training, her sphere of sympathetic and self-sacrificing ministration to individual lives.
    Anna Garlin Spencer (1851–1931)
