George Habash (Arabic: جورج حبش) also known by his laqab "al-Hakim" (Arabic:الحكيم — the wise one or the doctor) (2 August 1926 – 26 January 2008) was a Palestinian Christian who founded the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. Habash served as Secretary-General of the Palestine Front until 2000, when ill-health forced him to resign.
