New Zealand in The Last Glacial Maximum

Throughout the last glacial maximum, global sea levels were about 130 m lower than present levels. When this happened, North Island, South Island, and Stewart Island were joined together. The land to the North of Hamilton was forested, but much of the rest of New Zealand was covered in grass or shrubs.
