GECAD invests in companies with high growth potential with the ability to innovate and deliver new ideas and products in their markets. They have primarily focused on software and hi-tech companies, including security software, cloud technologies, Internet, eCommerce and electronic messaging.

GECAD has exited from two of its major investments: RAV Antivirus was acquired by Microsoft in 2003 and GECAD ePayment International by Allegro/Naspers in 2010.Strategic minority investors were also brought into Axigen and Avangate. Current investment portfolio comprises Avangate, Phoenix, Axigen, GECAD NET, ePayment and ROL Online Network.

Phoenix, a spinoff from Axigen, is a cloud storage solution for migrating data and applications stored on a Public Cloud (Amazon S3) to the Private Cloud.

Axigen Established in 2001, GECAD Technologies SA, is the vendor of Axigen, an integrated email, calendaring and collaboration platform.

ePayment is provider of integrated eCommerce solution, leader on Romanian market, of online payment systems. In 2010, the company was acquired by Allegro Group, part of the international media company Naspers. GECAD continues to hold a minority stake of 17% in the company.

GECAD NET is a company specialized in selling and implementing software solutions, offering adequate licensing options, integrated IT services and audit services for websites and web applications.

ROL Online Network ROL.ro, developed by the independent company ROL Online Network, was launched in 1998 as the first online web portal in Romania. ROL.ro is an extensive network of more than 40 websites, with specialized content - entertainment, news, business and eCommerce.
