The AC6000CW is a 6,250 horsepower (4,660 kW) diesel electric locomotive that is built by GE Transportation Systems. They are all used by major railroads in the United States, except for 8 units exported to BHP Billiton Iron Ore in Australia. This locomotive, along with the EMD SD90MAC, is the most powerful single-engined locomotive in the world, surpassed in power by only the dual-engine EMD DDA40X.
