Playing Area
Usually for the game of Gator, the playing area is a diving well. The diving wells of many neighborhood pools measure roughly 25 feet (7.6 m) wide x 25 feet (7.6 m) long x 12 feet (3.7 m) deep. This is considered optimum for Gator. For younger children, smaller diving wells or pools may work.

Famous quotes containing the words playing and/or area:
“The singer stopped playing and went to bed
While the Weary Blues echoed through his head.
He slept like a rock or a man that’s dead.”
—Langston Hughes (1902–1967)
“If you meet a sectary, or a hostile partisan, never recognize the dividing lines; but meet on what common ground remains,—if only that the sun shines, and the rain rains for both; the area will widen very fast, and ere you know it the boundary mountains, on which the eye had fastened, have melted into air.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
