Garfield: Caught in the Act is a platform game starring the comic strip cat, Garfield. The game, developed by Sega, was released in 1995 for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis and Sega Game Gear, and in 1996 was released for Windows. The game was also released for PCs in the Sonic & Garfield Pack, along with Sonic & Knuckles Collection and Baku Baku Animal.
All the sprites were created by Garfield creator Jim Davis and hand-drawn by Davis and the Garfield artists at Paws.
A port for the Sega 32X was planned, called Garfield in TV Land, but it was cancelled.

Famous quotes containing the words caught and/or act:
“There was the murdered corpse, in covert laid,
And violent death in thousand shapes displayed;
The city to the soldiers rage resigned;
Successless wars, and poverty behind;
Ships burnt in fight, or forced on rocky shores,
And the rash hunter strangled by the boars;
The newborn babe by nurses overlaid;
And the cook caught within the raging fire he made.”
—Geoffrey Chaucer (1340?1400)
“In the deeper layers of the modern consciousness ... every attempt to succeed is an act of aggression, leaving one alone and guilty and defenseless among enemies: one is punished for success. This is our intolerable dilemma: that failure is a kind of death and success is evil and dangerous, isultimatelyimpossible.”
—Robert Warshow (19171955)
