Famous quotes containing the words garbage, pail and/or kids:
“To be an editor, as I was.
Then to lie here close by the river over the place
Where the sewage flows from the village,
And the empty cans and garbage are dumped,
And abortions are hidden.”
—Edgar Lee Masters (1869–1950)
“You whig emblem, you woman chaser,
why do you dance over the wide lawn tonight
clanging the garbage pail like great silver bells?”
—Anne Sexton (1928–1974)
“I’ve noticed over the years that kids who are allowed to be emotionally honest develop a genuineness that more repressed kids don’t ever seem to acquire. Their words match their facial expressions. Their actions match their words, and they relate from a position of strength.”
—Stephanie Martson (20th century)
