G. Balakrish Nair is an Indian microbiologist. At present, he is the Director of National Institute of Cholera & Enteric Diseases (NICED, ICMR), Kolkata, India. Before joining NICED as director, he was the director of Laboratory Sciences Division at the International Center for Diarrhoeal Diseases Research, (ICDDR, B), Dhaka, Bangladesh.
