Later Years
Following his expulsion from the KAPD Wolffheim became a member of the League for the Study of German Communism, a pro-nationalist group that included representatives of business and army officers amongst its membership. Wolffheim's membership of this group brough him into contact with elements on the fringes of the Nazi Party. However his involvement with Nazism was never more than perfunctory and he instead became associated with the Gruppe Sozialrevolutionärer Nationalisten, a national revolutionary group founded by the journalist Karl Otto Paetel in 1930. Arrested by the Nazis in 1936, he died in the Ravensbrück concentration camp in 1942.

Famous quotes containing the word years:
“One of the most difficult aspects of being a parent during the middle years is feeling powerless to protect our children from hurt. However growthful it may be for them to experience failure, disappointment and rejection, it is nearly impossible to maintain an intellectual perspective when our sobbing child or rageful child comes in to us for help. . . . We cant turn the hurt around by kissing the sore spot to make it better. We are no longer the all-powerful parent.”
—Ruth Davidson Bell (20th century)
“Now, at the end of three years struggle the nations condition is not what either party, or any man devised, or expected. God alone can claim it.”
—Abraham Lincoln (18091865)
