Friends of Friendless Churches - List of Vested Churches

List of Vested Churches

The list is split into two sections, one for England and the other for Wales. This division reflects the former management of the English churches (with one exception) by the Church of England, the Welsh churches by the Church in Wales, and the different funding arrangements in the two countries.

Famous quotes containing the words list of, list, vested and/or churches:

Thirty—the promise of a decade of loneliness, a thinning list of single men to know, a thinning brief-case of enthusiasm, thinning hair.
    F. Scott Fitzgerald (1896–1940)

Do your children view themselves as successes or failures? Are they being encouraged to be inquisitive or passive? Are they afraid to challenge authority and to question assumptions? Do they feel comfortable adapting to change? Are they easily discouraged if they cannot arrive at a solution to a problem? The answers to those questions will give you a better appraisal of their education than any list of courses, grades, or test scores.
    Lawrence Kutner (20th century)

Of all the anti-social vested interests the worst is the vested interest in ill-health.
    George Bernard Shaw (1856–1950)

The law of God is a law of change, and ... when the Churches set themselves against change as such, they are setting themselves against the law of God.
    George Bernard Shaw (1856–1950)
