Famous quotes containing the words french, air and/or force:

This has been illustrated copiously each day with photographs taken by the author, reproduced by means of cuts such as only French newspaper-engravers can make, presumably etched on pieces of bread.
    Robert Benchley (1889–1945)

Approximately 80% of our air pollution stems from hydrocarbons released by vegetation, so let’s not go overboard in setting and enforcing tough emission standards from man-made sources.
    Ronald Reagan (b. 1911)

The force that through the green fuse drives the flower
Drives my green age; that blasts the roots of trees
    Is my destroyer.
And I am dumb to tell the crooked rose
My youth is bent by the same wintry fever.
    Dylan Thomas (1914–1953)
