Fremont High School has an athletic program directed by Roger Probst. FHS teams compete in the Northeast Corner Conference of Indiana (NECC) against Angola, Central Noble, Churubusco, Eastside, Fairfield, Hamilton, Lakeland, Prairie Heights, West Noble, and Westview. Fremont High School has teams for

Fremont high school began its first football season in 1963, winning the NECC Conference Championship in 1969. Historically, Fremont High School has been most successful in girls' basketball, girls' golf, boys' golf, and wrestling.

In 1991, the boys' golf team, under the coaching of Ken Wertz, qualified for state and ranked 7th in the state match. The boys' golf program has had 1 academic all state player, 9 academic all state honorable mentions, and 2 all state players (Grant Schimmele & Chris Tilbury) in 25 years of existence. The boys' golf team has won 9 NECC league titles, 1 sectional title, and 9 NECC tournament titles.

The girls' golf team qualified for state in 2000, completing the season at 17th in state. The girls' golf team has won 1 regional title; however, an NECC tournament or league does not exist for girls' golf. The girls' golf team has had 2 academic all state players, and 5 academic all state honorable mentions in its 11 years of existence. Several individuals from both golf programs have went on to play at the collegiate level. Both the girls' and boys' golf programs were built under Coach Ken Wertz.

The Fremont girls' basketball team won 5 consecutive sectional championships and appeared several times in semi-state championships from 1998-2004. This included two regional championships in 1998-1999. Student Jennifer Shook, of the Fremont girls' basketball team, was "All-State" in 2004.

The Fremont wrestling team secured sectional championship in 1997, 1999, and 2001. A number of former wrestlers have qualified for the state tournament.

In 2012, the girls' cross country team won the Northeast Corner Conference meet for the first time in the program's history. The team was also sectional champions. Runner Anna Aldrich was honored as the NECC champion. She and teammate Abby Hostetler ran at the Indiana state finals.
