Destinations
Independence of the Seas is based in Southampton year-round. Independence started these itineraries in April 2010, and the itineraries include 14 night Mediterranean cruises and short UK cruises during the Summer and the Independence sails to the Canary Islands in the Winter.
Freedom of the Seas is based in the Caribbean (with a home port in Port Canaveral, Florida) year-round, alternating between Eastern & Western Caribbean itineraries.
In Summer 2011, Liberty of the Seas was based in Barcelona, sailing the Mediterranean for the Summer season. After the Summer, Liberty moved its homeport back to Miami, where she sailed to Caribbean destinations in the Winter. The Liberty will be moved, again, to Barcelona for the Summer & then back to Miami for the Winter. Royal Caribbean International plans to continue alternating the Liberty between the two destinations.
