Hagenbeck is a retired United States Army officer who served as the 57th Superintendent of the United States Military Academy, West Point, New York, from June 2006 to July 2010. Previous to his assignment at West Point, he was the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-1 United States Army, Washington, D.C.
