Faculty
The faculty at Frankfurt School is organized in five departments. In addition to the professors and lecturers there are eleven Program Directors who oversee and develop the degree programs. They are counted as faculty, although they form part of a different team that reports to the President rather than the Vice President for Academic Affairs and not all of them teach continuously.

Famous quotes containing the word faculty:
“Imagination is an almost divine faculty which, without recourse to any philosophical method, immediately perceives everything: the secret and intimate connections between things, correspondences and analogies.”
—Charles Baudelaire (18211867)
“Reason is mans faculty for grasping the world by thought, in contradiction to intelligence, which is mans ability to manipulate the world with the help of thought. Reason is mans instrument for arriving at the truth, intelligence is mans instrument for manipulating the world more successfully; the former is essentially human, the latter belongs to the animal part of man.”
—Erich Fromm (19001980)
“The dramatic art would appear to be rather a feminine art; it contains in itself all the artifices which belong to the province of woman: the desire to please, facility to express emotions and hide defects, and the faculty of assimilation which is the real essence of woman.”
—Sarah Bernhardt (18451923)
