Many of Reilly's students went on to forge professional art careers. Gerald Allison, Michael Aviano, James Bama, Jack Faragasso, Fred Fixler, Gordon Johnson, Carl Hantman, Doug Higgins, Clark Hulings, Ronnie Lesser, Frank Liljegren, Peter Max, Gerald McConnell, George Passantino and Robert Emil Schulz are among them. Reilly's teaching influence continues today with instructors Michael Aviano and Jack Faragasso as well as their students John Ennis, Jon deMartin, Graydon Parrish, Neilson Carlin and many more. Ted Seth Jacobs was his monitor in the late 40's. Ted has single handedly passed on the knowledge largely not taught in schools today ot the past fifty years, through his school Ecole Albert De Fois France. He has written two classic books,Light fo the Artist and Drawing with an Open Mind. The focus on seeing is in part based on Frank Reilly,s teachings at the Art Students League.A student of Ted Jacobs, Anthony Ryder, has written an incredible book,The Artist's Complete Guide to Figure Drawing. Young top realist painters such as Jacob Collins, John Morra, Michael Grimaldi, Karen Kaapcke and Pat Wentwood all studied Jacobs classical academic methodsin France.
