Francesco Calogero - Physics Research

Physics Research

Calogero's scientific publications in English include three books and over 300 papers. His main research concerns integrable many-body problems. The Calogero–Degasperis–Fokas equation, a differential equation that models wave phenomena including solitons, is named after Calogero. He also formulated the Calogero conjecture that quantum behavior is caused by stochastic gravitational radiation of a cosmic origin.

Famous quotes containing the words physics and/or research:

... it is as true in morals as in physics that all force is imperishable; therefore the consequences of a human action never cease.
    Tennessee Claflin (1846–1923)

The research on gender and morality shows that women and men looked at the world through very different moral frameworks. Men tend to think in terms of “justice” or absolute “right and wrong,” while women define morality through the filter of how relationships will be affected. Given these basic differences, why would men and women suddenly agree about disciplining children?
    Ron Taffel (20th century)
