Fowlers - Hunting Areas

Hunting Areas

All states have public land for hunting. Some states call them fish and game lands. Other states call them fish and wildlife management areas. These are lands purchased from hunting license revenue. Water in bays or ocean are open area to hunting, as no one can own these areas. The problem is getting access to the ocean, bay, marsh or river. Hunters usually need boats to travel in these areas. Along with this, many people will set up blinds on the shoreline of water. This can be very successful if they know how to use a duck call and can call them in towards their blind.

Famous quotes containing the words hunting and/or areas:

...here he is, fully alive, and it is hard to picture him fully dead. Death is thirty-three hours away and here we are talking about the brain size of birds and bloodhounds and hunting in the woods. You can only attend to death for so long before the life force sucks you right in again.
    Helen Prejean (b. 1940)

... two great areas of deafness existed in the South: White Southerners had no ears to hear that which threatened their Dream. And colored Southerners had none to hear that which could reduce their anger.
Sarah Patton Boyle, U.S. civil rights activist and author. The Desegregated Heart, part 1, ch. 16 (1962)
