2011 Rugby World Cup
Du Preez was selected for the second time for South Africa in the 2011 Rugby World Cup. The first match was against Wales which South Africa won with tries from Francois Steyn and Francois Hougaard. He was then taken off on 71 minutes against Fiji which the Boks won a thumping 49-3. Du Preez was then dropped to the bench for the game against Namibia due to fellow scrum-half Francois Hougaard putting in some good performances. South Africa won the game 87-0. Famous quotes containing the words world and/or cup:
“Is it for now or for always,
The world hangs on a stalk?”
—Philip Larkin (19221986)
“I write mainly for the kindly race of women. I am their sister, and in no way exempt from their sorrowful lot. I have drank [sic] the cup of their limitations to the dregs, and if my experience can help any sad or doubtful woman to outleap her own shadow, and to stand bravely out in the sunshine to meet her destiny, whatever it may be, I shall have done well; I have not written this book in vain.”
—Amelia E. Barr (18311919)
