Early Life

Fong Sai-yuk is a native of Zhaoqing, Guangdong province. His father, Fong Tak (方德), is a rich businessman while his mother Miu Tsui Fa is a highly-skilled martial artist. His mother is also the daughter of one of the legendary Five Elders of the southern Shaolin Monastery.

According to legend, his mother breaks every bone and limb in his body after his birth and bathes him in Chinese Rubbing Alcohol (鐵打酒 dit da jow) to make him practically invulnerable. Fong Sai-yuk's body becomes "copper skin and metal bone" after the treatment.

Famous quotes containing the words early and/or life:

Perhaps the most valuable result of all education is the ability to make yourself do the thing you have to do, when it ought to be done, whether you like it or not; it is the first lesson that ought to be learned; and however early a man’s training begins, its probably the last lesson that he learns thoroughly.
    Thomas Henry Huxley (1825–95)

Shams and delusions are esteemed for soundest truths, while reality is fabulous. If men would steadily observe realities only, and not allow themselves to be deluded, life ... would be like a fairy tale and the Arabian Nights’ Entertainments.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
