Flying Imams Incident - Identities

Identities

The six imams were Didmar Faja, Mohamed Said Mitwaly Ibrahim, Marwan Sadeddin, Omar Shahin, Ahmad al-Shqeirat (also known as Amad Tafish Shqeirat), and Mahmoud Sulaiman. Shahin had formerly been quoted in the press after the September 11 attacks in 2001, when he expressed doubt that any sincere Muslims had responsibility for the 9/11 hijackings, since, according to him, over 1,200 Muslims died in the World Trade Center attack.

Ibrahim lives and works in Bakersfield, California, and the other five live and work in the Phoenix, Arizona area.
