FTR is a seen as a role model for other racing organizations in Florida, and even around the country. In 2006, FTR issued a 96 dB rule for Enduros and Harescrambles. The regulation was placed due to the growing problem of noise from competition off-road vehicles, and the land closures due to it. For the 2008 season, FTR required a USFS approved spark arrestors for all vehicles competing in FTR Enduro, and Harescramble events.
