Reserves, Youth and Juniors Teams
Fleetwood Town have a reserve team in the Lancashire League, as well as youth and junior teams. The reserves were runaway winners of the 2008–09 Lancashire League West Division, having only dropped 9 points over a 20–match season. In the 2010–11 season the reserves finished second in the league, losing out to Bamber Bridge reserves. At the end of the 2006–07 season the football section of Fleetwood Gym joined Fleetwood Town to create the Fleetwood Town Football Academy, with teams ranging from Under-7s to Under-18s.

Famous quotes containing the words youth and/or teams:
“A glimpse through an interstice caught,
Of a crowd of workmen and drivers in a barroom around the stove late of a winter night, and I unremarked seated in a corner,
Of a youth who loves me and whom I love, silently approaching and seating himself near, that he may hold me by the hand,
A long while amid the noises of coming and going, of drinking and
oath and smutty jest,
There we two, content, happy in being together, speaking little,
perhaps not a word.”
—Walt Whitman (18191892)
“A sturdy lad from New Hampshire or Vermont who in turn tries all the professions, who teams it, farms it, peddles, keeps a school, preaches, edits a newspaper, goes to Congress, buys a township, and so forth, in successive years, and always like a cat falls on his feet, is worth a hundred of these city dolls. He walks abreast with his days and feels no shame in not studying a profession, for he does not postpone his life, but lives already.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
