FK Leotar

FK Leotar (Serbian Cyrillic: ФK Лeoтap) is a professional football club from the city of Trebinje in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Founded in 1925 in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, the club served as a training ground for many players who went on to enjoy notable careers elsewhere. Still, despite sizable fan support throughout its long history, FK Leotar never managed to gain promotion to the top Yugoslav league.

However, since the early 2000s, FK Leotar has been a member of the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina and is currently playing in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The club's home ground is the Police Stadium (capacity: 8550).

FK Leotar became the champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina after the 2002/2003 season. That year, Leotar played in the qualification stages for the UEFA Champions League and was defeated by Slavia Prague 1-2 at home and 2-1 away in the second qualifying round. That is the biggest success in FK Leotar's history. The fans of FK Leotar Trebinje are called "Tigrovi" (Literally "Tigers").
