First ScotRail - Stations

Stations

The majority of Scotland’s 340 passenger stations are operated by ScotRail under Network Rail ownership. Glasgow Prestwick Airport station is owned and operated by the airport, Dunbar is operated by East Coast, and Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Central by Network Rail itself. ScotRail operates Lockerbie railway station but none of its services call there.

Famous quotes containing the word stations:

After I was married a year I remembered things like radio stations and forgot my husband.
    P. J. Wolfson, John L. Balderston (1899–1954)

    mourn

The majesty and burning of the child’s death.
    I shall not murder
The mankind of her going with a grave truth
Nor blaspheme down the stations of the breath
    Dylan Thomas (1914–1953)

A reader who quarrels with postulates, who dislikes Hamlet because he does not believe that there are ghosts or that people speak in pentameters, clearly has no business in literature. He cannot distinguish fiction from fact, and belongs in the same category as the people who send cheques to radio stations for the relief of suffering heroines in soap operas.
    Northrop Frye (b. 1912)
