Life Rights

Producers may also purchase the co-operation of a person (or others who know him or her well) if they intend to produce a biography on the person's life. In the case of a person who is deceased, life rights may be secured from the heirs or immediate family (who are customarily regarded as the inheritors of the decedents' life rights).

Famous quotes containing the words life and/or rights:

I think of horror films as art, as films of confrontation. Films that make you confront aspects of your own life that are difficult to face. Just because you’re making a horror film doesn’t mean you can’t make an artful film.
    David Cronenberg (b. 1943)

The freedom to share one’s insights and judgments verbally or in writing is, just like the freedom to think, a holy and inalienable right of humanity that, as a universal human right, is above all the rights of princes.
    Carl Friedrich Bahrdt (1740–1792)
