Filippi's boats are brought to life in a unique part of Italy. Local oil and wine are among the most highly-prized and prestigious in the world. Its poets include Carducci, who dedicated his verses to the legendary avenue of age-old cypress trees that stretches from San Guido to Bolgheri, an enchanting, magical place. The boatyard's location is also unique as it stands in Donoratico on the Tyrrhenian sea, which looks out onto the Tuscany archipelago, home to Elba, the "buen retiro" of Napoleon Bonaparte.
