Fiji At The Commonwealth Games
Fiji have competed in all but two Commonwealth Games since 1938, missing only 1990 and 1994, as they were not members of the Commonwealth during this time. Fiji have won fourteen Commonwealth medals across six sports.
The country is currently suspended from the Commonwealth, and has technically been banned from taking part in the 2010 Games.

Famous quotes containing the words commonwealth and/or games:
“Ithe commonwealth I would by contraries
Execute all things; for no kind of traffic
Would I admit; no name of magistrate;
Letters should not be known; riches, poverty,
And use of service, none; contract, succession,
Bourn, bound of land, tilth, vineyard, none;
No use of metal, corn, or wine, or oil;
No occupation; all men idle, all,
And women too, but innocent and pure.”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
“At the age of twelve I was finding the world too small: it appeared to me like a dull, trim back garden, in which only trivial games could be played.”
—Elizabeth Bowen (18991973)
