Side Projects
Bassist/vocalist Joe Sumner often tests new material acoustically in small clubs using the name IllegalMoveman.
During touring and recording breaks, guitarist Seton Daunt writes, records and performs in a band with his wife, siblings and friends using the name The Daunting.
Pete Wilhoit has been seen filling in as live session drummer for various New York-area live performances of Ari Hest and Amy Kuney.
On the evening of July 20, 2008 after the band’s performance at the Nissan Pavilion in Bristow, VA (on the Unity Tour) Fiction Plane and members of Snoop Dogg’s band and entourage sat down in Pete Wilhoit’s bunk on the tour bus and recorded four songs under the moniker Code Seven. The session became known as the BapTized Recordings. Though they were never officially released, the demos did surface on the Fiction Plane Info Center fan site.

Famous quotes containing the words side and/or projects:
“Twenty years ago I wanted to move to a nice place so our Charley would grow up a nice boy and learn a profession. But instead we live in a jungle, so he can only be a wild animal. Dyou think I picked the East Side like Columbus picked America?”
—Abraham Polonsky (b. 1910)
“But look what we have built ... low-income projects that become worse centers of delinquency, vandalism and general social hopelessness than the slums they were supposed to replace.... Cultural centers that are unable to support a good bookstore. Civic centers that are avoided by everyone but bums.... Promenades that go from no place to nowhere and have no promenaders. Expressways that eviscerate great cities. This is not the rebuilding of cities. This is the sacking of cities.”
—Jane Jacobs (b. 1916)
