Human Development
John Waskom postulated that stages of human development followed the Fibonacci sequence, indicating that the unfolding psychology of human life would ideally be a "living proof" of the Golden Mean. This theory was developed and published by Norman Rose in two articles. The first article laid out the general theory: Design and Development of Wholeness: Waskom's Paradigm. The second article laid out the applications and implications of the theory to the topic of moral development: Moral Development: The Experiential Perspective.

Famous quotes containing the words human and/or development:
“All human things are subject to decay,
And when fate summons, monarchs must obey.”
—John Dryden (16311700)
“Ultimately, it is the receiving of the child and hearing what he or she has to say that develops the childs mind and personhood.... Parents who enter into a dialogue with their children, who draw out and respect their opinions, are more likely to have children whose intellectual and ethical development proceeds rapidly and surely.”
—Mary Field Belenky (20th century)
