A prominent leader of worship in the mid-eighteenth century was Count Nicolaus Ludwig von Zinzendorf, and the parents of William Blake also attended (it has been suggested that Moravian hymns were an influence on Blake's Songs of Innocence and Experience). The Swedish scientist and mystic Emanuel Swedenborg was also a visitor from 1744-5 and again in 1748-9.
